This year’s symposium features two distinct tracks, “Dementia and Spirituality: Building Connections, Conversations and Collaborations” and “Wounds to Wellness: Pioneering Paths to Healing”. As both tracks are running concurrently, kindly ensure that you register for just ONE track.

Dementia and Spirituality: Building Connections, Conversations and Collaborations

Join us to explore a holistic elder care approach that honours each person’s spirituality and examines how dementia affects faith. Discover religious and spiritual practices offering strength and hope, learn about effective communication in spiritual connections, and gain insights into promoting volunteerism and advocacy in dementia care.

Wounds to Wellness: Pioneering Paths to Healing

Join us as our expert speakers share about innovation in vascular health, wound hygiene and dive into topics such as CSI on vascular wound cases, care of biliary drain tube and percutaneous nephrostomy tube, and the management of complex and chronic wounds.

In FY2023/2024, SLEC had the privilege to serve over 15,000 elders through our services. We operate 18 Senior Care and Rehabilitation Centres, 12 Active Ageing Centres (Care) and one Residence (nursing home), serving mainly older persons regardless of race, language and religion.

SLEC’s range of centre-based services includes dementia day care, maintenance day care, and community rehabilitation including pulmonary, musculoskeletal, physiotherapy, speech, and occupational therapy. Community-based services offer active ageing and wellness programmes, diabetic screenings, dietetic services, and nursing care. Home-based services provide dietetic, medical, nursing, and therapy services. Residential-based services provide long-term care for those that require daily living and nursing care.
